Mac Nw20 Foundation Matches

MAC Pro Longwear foundation in NW20 review and swatches: A very generous friend of mine gifted me a $50 Myer voucher the other day for my birthday, and I’d been dithering about for a while, wondering what to spend it on. I was then browsing my blogs on a random. MAC NW20 is described by the brand as 'warm neutral beige w/ rosy undertone for light to medium skin.' It is a shade in the Studio Fix Soft Matte Foundation Stick range, which is a cream foundation with a matte finish and medium-full coverage that retails for $31.00 and contains 0.32 oz.

Buying foundation is such a hit or miss thing for me. Somehow I always end up with a shade that’s completely wrong for me. And then I discovered this fantastic megathread at r/MakeupAddiction where the makeup aficionados there listed all the popular foundation shades that matched their skin tones.

I wanted to make that super useful resource easier to use, so I’ve extracted the shade info from the thread and sorted it by MAC shade. Davinci resolve studio 16 1 1 multilingual macos. https://goodoctors843.weebly.com/pixelmator-pro-3-8-4.html.

The full list contains all the MAC shades.

Enjoy!

Mac Studio Tech Nw20

MAC Pro Longwear foundation in NW20 review and swatches :

A very generous friend of mine gifted me a $50 Myer voucher the other day for my birthday, and I’d been dithering about for a while, wondering what to spend it on. I was then browsing my blogs on a random Monday night, and was reading my favourite asian makeup blogger Lil Mama J to find out what foundation she uses, because she consistently looks flawless.

As it turns out, she wears MAC Pro Longwear (probably because she works at MAC) which retails in Australia for $54, so I picked it up for $4!!

Here are some piccys and a preliminary review.

I did quite a basic, Friday, work-appropriate look. Nothing terribly fancy, sorry! I was trying not to take away too much from the foundation.

Cyberlink powerdvd mac. Here’s what I used:

  • Nars Primer
  • MAC Pro Longwear foundation in NW20
  • MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural
  • Laura Mercier Secret Concealer
  • MAC Pinch o Peach blush (i’m hitting pan! no!)
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
  • MAC Bare Study paint pot
  • MAC Wedge e/s in the crease
  • MAC Strike A Pose e/s on the lids (very lightly dusted on)
  • MAC Fashion e/s over Strike A Pose (under the eye)
  • MAC Lightweight Black (on the outer v & under the eye)
  • MAC Shroom e/s (as a highlight)
  • Korres eyeliners
  • Korres Rice Bran mascara in Brown (over my eyebrows as well)
  • MAC Maple/Soft Charcoal Brow Shader
  • Dior Addict #321 Pearl Shine lip gloss

So what do I think of MAC Pro Longwear?

Firstly, the price point for a foundation in Australia, makes this quite resonable. Dock 3 0 99. $54 isn’t bad at all, considering I’ve paid $100 or more for a foundation.

The colour match is a bit so-so, at least for me. I’m usually an NC20-25 (depending on how much sun I get hehe) but the Pro Longwear NC20 looked far too yellow and I would have looked sick. Can’t have that. Disk utility format for mac. That said, NW25 was ok, but probably a bit too dark. NW20 is quite a good match for me, but it does look a bit warm. If I use up my other foundations quite soon, I might purchase NC20 and then mix the two to get what I suspect, will be a perfect match.

The finish is quite good – satin/matte I would probaby say? It’s not glowy, but it’s not completely flat. It’s full coverage, but not like I’ve caked it on like a weirdo. Not like when I used Studio Fix, and it would get all over my phone.

The wear – this is my favourite part. It lasts all day, and looks near-flawless without any touch-ups. I didn’t put on moisturiser or serum, and just went primer-foundation-under eye concealer-powder, and at lunchtime it looked just as good as it did at breakfast. By the time I walked home and was a bit sweaty, it had faded and was shiny in a few spots, but still nothing serious to complain about.

All in all – I’m super happy, and unless it does something very strange in winter, I’m definitely repurchasing it. And for someone with 10 foundations in rotation, I’d say that’s a pretty big call.

You can buy MAC Pro Longwear foundation at MAC Counters, at Myer, David Jones and at their Pro store in Paddington and online at the MAC Australia website.

If you’d like to see how I think this foundation compares to other longwearing foundations.

I’d love to hear your thoughts – have you tried MAC Pro Longwear foundation in NW20 ? Did you like it?
